Anyone who ventured along to this year’s Ekka in Brisbane and feasted on a dagwood dog may well have bought it from one of our recent schmick creations – a custom built 7m food trailer built to serve not just the Ekka crowd but numerous other events that the RNA holds at the Brisbane Showgrounds throughout the year.
This food van is fully geared up to serve the masses. It has three servery windows along one side, one on the opposite side with a fold out awning and another at the rear, and LED framed window signs that flip up and fold back into themselves when closed, as well as a rooftop sign that folds down when not in use or travelling.
“Graeme and his team at Van Demons were commissioned to build a multi faceted food truck to meet the needs of the RNA/ Brisbane Showgrounds in May 2017. We gave him a very tight deadline being ready for the largest event on the RNA’s calendar ‘Ekka’. As a large business we had many people who required input into the design and layout of the truck and appreciated their patience and the knowledge that the Van Demons team displayed. We appreciated his flexibility and ideas to make the design of the truck more diverse. When visiting the build many times over the 8 weeks we could see the passion displayed by his contractors by just talking to them. Their general interest and quality of work has made them in RNA’s opinion leaders in food truck design and builds in Australia. Our staff have enjoyed working in the new van over Ekka and look forward to the many shows ahead.”
