The Van Demons crew worked in conjunction with global marketing company TLA Worldwide to come up with a rather eye popping big green Woolies promo machine, in the form of a fully converted Leyland Atlantean 1972 double decker bus.
The original bus was completely gutted, stripped of its seats, walls and ceiling, and the roof cut in order to allow hydraulically operated struts to raise the roof to allow for standing height (anyone that’s ridden a London double decker knows that the upstairs seating area was surely designed for the vertically challenged 😉 ).
With all of the usual custom stainless work, sinks & refrigeration of a regular food truck, the Woolies bus also features custom built lounges and interactive touch screens – an educational tool for the kiddies that climb aboard. The Woolworths promotional bus is travelling Australia, making its way between various major sporting events, spreading its “fresh food people” message far and wide.
